Christmas is the best time of the year. Santa and his elves are out making children happy, reindeer fly under the power of magic, and people are full of good cheer as they give of themselves to others. And then someone has to kill a fellow merry-maker and ruin the whole thing. Sigh.
Rainey Daye didn’t see this one coming. In fact, if you had asked her, she would have said that John McMillan was one of the nicest people in all of Sparrow, Idaho. So who would kill the happy toy maker at Christmas? And in such a heinous way? Rainey is on the case and determined to find out who the Grinchy Christmas killer is. (And you can bet there will be plenty of Christmas cookies!)
Rainey and her boyfriend, Detective Cade Starkey, don’t see eye to eye on everything, but they do agree that they’re in love. And Maybe Cade is ready to settle down with Rainey, the cookbook queen of Sparrow. Is Rainey finally ready to say yes to the detective?
