Death at the Harvest Auction: A Bellweather Mystery (The Bellweather Mysteries Book 3)
By E.R. Whitcombe
When a prized antique comes under suspicion, a country auction turns deadly.
Autumn has arrived in Bellweather, and Nell Harcourt expects the annual Harvest Auction to bring little more than rival dealers, ambitious bidders and the usual arguments over provenance. But one spectacular cabinet attracts far more attention than it should — and Nell soon begins to suspect that its history is not what the catalogue claims.
Then someone connected to the sale is found dead.
As Inspector Brennan investigates, Nell is drawn into a web of forged provenance, old grudges and secrets hidden behind respectable names. Someone has gone to extraordinary lengths to make the cabinet appear genuine, and exposing the truth may reveal a motive for murder.
Meanwhile, another clue from her late father’s mysterious Bellweather Catalogue leads Nell towards a secret that has been waiting for decades to be uncovered.
Death at the Harvest Auction is the third Bellweather Mystery, a traditional British mystery filled with antiques, village intrigue, buried secrets and murder.
