Gobbelino London & a Menace of Mermaids: Cats, snark, & dangerous waters - a complete funny, cozy urban fantasy series (Gobbelino London, PI Book 6)

By Kim M. Watt

“I was expecting a throne made from the skulls of your enemies.”
“It can be arranged.”

I’m not saying all of North Yorkshire’s magical population wants us dead. Just most of them.

Which is why we fled to Whitby, where no one should’ve been looking.

But lying low? Not our skillset. And when one of our last friends is taken by the sea, we can’t just walk away — especially since her partner is a reaper with a scythe that slices reality, and it might be our fault.

We’re not going alone. We’ve got a one-eyed pirate captain, a bloodthirsty parrot, and a deeply dodgy mermaid.

The storm of the century? Not stopping us.

The Black Dogs, the kraken cult, and the Sea Witch? Might be an issue.

Leeds is looking better by the moment…

★★★★★ “Engaging and funny fantasy with magic and TALKING CATS!”

★★★★★ “Devour these books like chocolate-covered anything’s. They are not to be missed.”

★★★★★ “An absolute must!”

★★★★★ “My favorite series and character of all time!!”

★★★★★ “Everything you would want in a book with amazing characters, action, humor and heart.”

★★★★★ “Fun, quirky adventure stories with unexpected characters and events.”

★★★★★ “Wonderfully odd adventures and a surprisingly deep friendship – especially for a cat. So enjoyable.”

★★★★★ “By the time I reached page 10, I relaxed, knowing that I was in good hands.”

This is the sixth book in the complete, seven-book Gobbelino London, PI urban fantasy series, centred around the adventures of a mercenary feline PI and his human sidekick. It contains snarky cats and other gods, many bad jokes and terrible puns, plus a large serving of mythological and real creatures behaving badly. It will appeal to anyone who likes their fantasy funny, modern, and filled with friendship rather than romance – and also to those who suspect their cat may be living a great and secret life when they’re not looking.

A Menace of Mermaids contains some violence, particularly involving mermaids with a grudge and threatening kraken, but none of it is graphic. It contains no sex and only mild language. It does, however, contain blasphemy.
