Glenda can’t wait for retirement, she needs to start to change her life now. She is leaving Texas but only gets as far as the Texas Hill country when her SUV breaks down leaving her stranded. Wouldn’t you know it, the part needed to fix her car won’t arrive until Tuesday.
She realizes she’s stuck until then so she resolves to relax and enjoy her time in Fernsville. She checks into the cozy Aunt Betty’s Bed and Breakfast and prepares to enjoy the parade and barbeque the town is hosting the next day. Even the weather cooperates with warm balmy weather, so totally unlike Texas.
Unfortunately, the weekend doesn’t progress at all like what she anticipated.
