Missing, Mishap, or Murder: A Willie Wilder Cozy Murder Mystery
By Ivy Featherstone
Hunting season, old bones, a fresh shooting, and a poodle with plenty to say.
Willie Wilder inherited a farmhouse, a telepathic poodle, Axel, and her uncle’s unfinished cases. She’s adjusting to the dog’s opinions. Leaving mysteries alone is harder.
When hunters uncover human remains, Willie reopens an eight-year-old disappearance. Days later, one of the hunters who found the bones is shot dead.
The Queenagers’ Sunday Supper Society serves up theories while Axel sniffs out trouble and Willie asks questions.
An activist photographer publicly clashed with the shooting victim, and lied about her whereabouts. A longtime rival wished him dead before heading into the woods. And the missing man fought with two other people just before he vanished.
Then headlights follow Willie down the lonely country road home. Tire tracks appear in the snow where no one else should have been.
Someone is taking more than an interest in her questions. Now, Willie must untangle an old disappearance and a deadly hunting trip before the next unfinished case becomes her own.
