Mistletoe, Matchmaking and Murder (A Kat Calloway Cozy Mystery)
By L.B. Dayton
Christmas matchmaking, festive cocktails, and a killer hiding under the mistletoe.
Kat Calloway expected her new catering business to survive the holiday rush. She did not expect Gramartha’s “no one alone for Christmas” speed-dating dinners to put a murder in her kitchen orbit.
When demanding and repeat guest Diane Whitfield is found dead after meeting a promising match, Kat’s instincts start simmering. With razor-sharp Ben tracking gossip and Gramartha defending her guest list, Kat starts sorting clues from all the holiday chaos.
The suspects are anything but merry. Diane’s charming new date disappears after she accuses him of theft, while a nervous Master Gardener is spotted near her home and seems to know far too much about poisonous holiday plants.
Then another body drops, and the case Kat thought was cooling off turns deadly hot.
With an innocent man in the crosshairs and a killer desperate to protect a holiday secret, Kat must uncover the final match before someone else gets crossed off the guest list.
The Kat Calloway Cozy Mysteries are warm and twisty culinary cozies filled with delicious food, quirky suspects, loyal friends, found family, a touch of romance, plenty of humor, and one clever tuxedo cat who always seems to know more than he’s telling. Each mystery can be enjoyed as a standalone, but you may find yourself wanting to stay for another course.
What Readers Are Saying: Readers love the fast-paced mysteries, growing suspense, and twists that keep them turning pages long past bedtime. They especially enjoy Kat’s close-knit circle of friends, her relationship with Bash, the unforgettable Gramartha, and, of course, Tux. And the recipes waiting at the end are always a delicious bonus.
Author’s Promise: This cozy mystery is human developed and human written, with a promise of clean, page-turning fun. You’ll find no profanity, no graphic violence, and no explicit bedroom scenes, just mystery, friendship, found family, a little danger, and recipes from Kat’s kitchen waiting at the end.
