Aspiring caterer and amateur sleuth, Carolina Hart, is thrown headfirst into a dramatic situation when a high-profile wedding couple books her services after their original caterer quits.

They already have a bad taste in their mouth, so she knows that she has to be extra careful to win their confidence, which may prove to be challenging when one of her employees nearly gets into a fist fight with a guest at the reception.

When the errant and mysterious employee takes off after the confrontation, and his adversary turns up dead, Carolina has to take matters into her own hands in order to preserve her reputation.

Unsure as to whether or not her employee is who and what he claims to be, she investigates and what she discovers shakes her to her foundations.

Secrets swirl and stories that don’t quite ring true are plentiful, but Carolina doesn’t realize that she might be in danger herself until some decidedly shady characters show up at her family’s restaurant.
